Excellent the boat trip every saturday morning and the quality of food at the restaurant
the Hotel is right in front of bus stop, 1 of the people spoke english, she was very helpful. Our stay there was so good we decided to stay another day. We took the hotel boat trip to Capri which was really good 60 euro pp. Dinner was one of the best meals we have had.
everything was excellent
Good breakfast, Helpful staff. Beautiful views. Decent price range. Parking really easy. Fully acceptable beach (La Gavetta). Served excellent fish (for those selecting half pension). Offered boat-excursions. Very good location in Praiano, close to restaurants and transportation.
The bed was fairly worn down.
The hotel has a great location. If you love nature, tranquility and intimacy this hotel is a very good choice. Still you have to be in good physical condition as the hotel is 85 stairs away from the main street and another 350 stairs to a wonderful little golf where you can swim. Anyway the stairs are very common in Amalfi Coast and it's worth it a lot!
Overall general is OK 2.5 star
Lovely, family-run hotel with spectacular views of Amalfi coast. Great value - cooking was solid and homely. Staff very welcoming and honest - my husband left an expensive watch on a table in the lobby and it was returned the next day. Hotel in lovely quiet spot, close to two bays, one with beach bar, one without.
No good for someone who can't manage steps.
The views where amazing and the area was very quiet.
As we where travelling around by car I had requested a parking from the hotel and was told it was available. When we arrived it turned out that the parking suggested was far away from the hotel and tiny space to park in, we ending up paying for the parking somewhere else. As for the hotel, it was located on a cliff and did not even have a road leading there, we had to park the car and drag our luggage to get there. As located on a hill, there where plenty of steps both to get to the hotel and then from the reception to the room (about 200) Information about the street and steps situation should have been added to the website.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful family run hotel and we are definitely coming back.Lovely place, helpful staff, stunning views and a great starting point for exploring the Amalfi coast.
Gennaro, one of the staff, took us for a lovely boat tour in a small, comfortable boat. We were out for approximately 3 1/2 hours which included a swim and nap at a private beach. The cost of 35 euro pp was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend requesting this. It is very pleasant to stay in a smaller more quiet village away from the craziness of Positano and Amalfi.
The owner is an angry man who does not hesitate to display his anger. We witnessed him yelling at staff which was very uncomfortable. We asked if we could sit one evening on the terrazzo with our friends and a bottle of wine and he would not allow it but no one told us why. He was unpleasant and scowling. One of the staff gave us incorrect information about the availability of boats to Sorrento for departing. She said there weren't any as it was September and the season was finished. Thankfully, we checked on our own and this was not true. You can easily take a boat from Positano to Sorrento and then another to Napoli. This made our return trip so lovely. She should have made a phone call. There are seriously 350 stairs to the beach.
The owner is not very friendly and helpful. The room is very simple, definitely not as good as the pics suggests. It is many steps down from the mainroad. It would be challenging if you carry big luggage.
The room was nice, clean and comfortable, the terrace terrific, and the owners went out of their way to be helpful. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.
